Pickerington was founded in 1815. Originally called “Jacksonville” after Andrew Jackson, it was renamed in 1827 when citizens petitioned to change in honor of founder Abraham Pickering. This welcoming community is located in both Fairfield and Franklin Counties and features a beautiful community garden, several parks, a great community theatre, and one of the best Independence Day fireworks shows in all of central Ohio.
Pickerington is home to excellent health care resources at both the Ohio Health campus and Mount Carmel facilities. Pickerington’s senior population has grown by more than 20% in the past 10 years, and Home Care Concierge is here to help all Pickerington residents maintain an excellent quality of life while they age better at home.
